New Parents

Beginning life at a new school can, inevitably, raise many questions, concerns and anxieties for both pupils and parents. Often these concerns relate to certain aspects of the school organisation: others may relate to the curriculum. It is our sincere hope that within this website, many of these questions will be answered and the smooth integration of children in to St Mark’s Church of England School will be assured.

At this school we are extremely proud of our achievements both in and out of the classroom. The achievement of excellence in all aspects of school life is the overriding aim of all staff and governors. To this end we endeavour to work with you, the parents, in the close partnership which is necessary to achieve this aim. We are not complacent in being proud of our achievements and continually strive to improve our ability to ensure a relevant education for each individual pupil irrespective of his or her ability.

Prospective parents are welcome to come and visit our school so that the reality of day to day life at St Mark’s CE School can be sampled at first hand. You will be made welcome to see how each pupil is important to us. We are able to offer the benefits of a larger type of primary school whilst treating pupils as individuals. We may have over 400 pupils, but we count in ones!

This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find all of the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact our school direct with any queries you may have.
